Ying Zhang
Ying Zhang is a molecular microbiologist with strong interests in biological engineering. Her training in PhD and first postdoctoral experience focused on protein manipulation, characterisation and engineering. After moving to Clostridia Research Group, she has been working with solvent producing Clostridium, using metabolism engineering and synthetic biology approaches to generate novel clostridal strains with advanced properties such as enhanced biofuels production and selectivity.
